The Kasbah Club Goes from strength to strength

Manchester's best regular Belly Dance club dates confirmed for 2010

Dates confirmed: Saturday 20 March, Saturday 26 June and Saturday 27 November all at St Bernadette's Social Centre, Whitefield

Featured Dancers for for March Delilah from London; Jenny; Janiko

What's the Kasbah Club?

It's a fantastic opportunity to bring together a performance platform, a show and a chance for you to have a boogie!

How does that work?

We realised that dancers want the chance perform in an intimate friendly venue and our students, friends and fans want to see longer professional sets from the North West's top dancers so we've split the performance sections of the show into long and short sets

The short sets are for less experienced dancers or those who would like to try out something new - like a performance platform - and the longer sets are for more experienced professional dancers who will be featured as the show's stars

How do we get to dance at the Kasbah Club?

We want promising performers to have a chance to dance so we've designed the KC to have six short performances and three longer sets each time. The longer sets will be offered by invitation (you can ask to be invited though!) and the short slots are available for dancers to ask to perform.

How good to I have to be to perform at the Kasbah Club

We want to strike a balance between giving dancers a chance to make their debut and ensuring that the quality of dancing is up to the audience's expectations (Learn Belly Dance standards so far have been high!) so we will want to be confident that the dancers are confident in their performance and ready to make their debut if this is the first time that they have performed. This means we will be managing the list for each event. You need to speak to your teacher about your plans to dance. If your teacher is part of LBD she will be able to feed into the listing process. If she is not, one of us may want to speak to her to confirm that you are ready for this!

How do I get tickets?

Tickets can be bought through all LBD teachers or, if you can't get to our classes, download this booking form and send it to Katy C. All tickets will be paid for in advance and there will be none available on the door. So far KClub has sold out weeks ahead and we have purposely chosen small venues to keep it intimate, so don't delay!

Tickets cost £10 and include a light supper of dips and salads. We have a bar with good prices

What is the venue and times for the Kasbah Club?

The Whitefield venue is St Bernadette's Social Centre just off Bury New Road on Selby Avenue - turn into the carpaark immediately after the turn into Selby Avenue.

The venue for our first "Kasbah Club on Tour" in September is Ramsbotton Cricket Club - the same as our Rammie class

Doors open at 7.30 pm. First half of the show starts at 8.30 and the second at 9.30. The event ends at 11.30
