Event ideas and fee guide First off, we don't perform or run events for all male groups. No respectable belly dancer does. But we are very happy to perform and teach at mixed events and we regularly do! Learn Belly Dance teachers have been performing for many years and we have drawn up this guide to adding belly dance to your events to help you decide what you would like. The fees quoted are typical, nothing in the descriptions is intended to form part of a contract and there are some general terms that we ask our clients to be aware of before confirming a booking. Hen Parties, Ladies Nights, Birthday Parties We are often asked to perform at smaller, fairly informal events in clients' homes or at a small venue. We find that the most successful format is to run the session for about an hour with 45 mins of teaching and the remainder of the time for a little performance of a short routine you have learned in the lesson or a solo by the bride/birthday girl (or even her mother!) and then allowing time for chatting with the dancer, asking about the dance, the music etc. The teacher will bring a CD to play on your equipment or her own music system and a bag of scarves and veils for everyone to have a go at dressing up. The typical fee for this is £120 Larger Hen Parties, Birthday Parties, Mendhi Nights For larger parties where the event is more formal we can offer a range of different ideas. From a short performance (10 mins) by one dancer to a full show of 30 min with a range of dancers or 2, 3 or more dancers leading audience participation. We can offer several performances during the evening and include particular styles of dance as requested. The typical fee for these events starts at £120 for a single short performance. For example, a show with 7 or 8 dancers for 30 mins would be approximately £350, a single dancer performing 2 or 3 times would be approximately £200 Corporate Event If you have a product or venue launch, a photo or video shoot, we may have just the dancer to help this go with a swing! Our dancers have worked in many restaurants, for the BBC and Granada and are skilled in engaging with the public. We believe that audiences should be given the opportunity to relax and enjoy their time with you and not feel they have to join in with the entertainment though we try to make those who do feel welcome too! Please contact us to discuss fees for these events. Fees depend on the length of time that the dancer is "on duty" and the nature of the event and work. Weddings Your wedding day is often the biggest event you will organise in your life and you want to know that the whole day will go well. As experienced event organisers as well as performers, Learn Belly Dance can assure you that they will do everything they can to help your day run smoothly and be memorable for you and your guests. We can tailor a package to suit you but this may include: a dancer to lead the bride and groom into the wedding breakfast; a dancer to entertain your guests during part of the reception; a dancer or group of dancers to open up the dancefloor to your guests after your first dance. We can also link the wedding performance to the hen party workshop and teach your bridesmaids a routine to perform at the reception! As with all wedding activity, the fee depends on the package but typically the fees start from £200.
