Intermediate level classes at Besses O'th Barn United Reformed Church

About this class

This class is intended for experienced dancers who want to develop their technique, try different styles of dance or stretch themselves with more complicated combinations and routines. You will need to have attended at least 20 beginners classes to get the most from this class and be able to keep up throughout those. This class is one and a half hours long so won't be full on aerobic throughout! We will include drills and combinations and exercises that you can do at home to improve between classes.

How to find the venue

The church is at the crossroads of Bury New Road and Bury Old Road, about 400 yards from J17 of the M60. It occupies the triangle of land made by that junction. The carpark entrance is on the Old Road and as the road is one way at this point, you will need to be travelling south on it to get into the carpark. If coming from Radcliffe or Whitefield, that means following the signs to Crumpsall at the traffic lights (at McDonalds/Aldi) and bearing left but staying in the right hand lane. From the south (i.e. Prestwich and the motorway), take the right turn at the junction (the traffic lights are the first ones after you leave the motorway roundabout) and stay in the right lane. The carpark is just before the church and about 50 yards from the junction. It has space for 30 cars so there should be plenty of room for us.

If you are travelling on public transport, Besses Metrolink station is about 2 mins walk away. From the station walk onto Bury Old Road, look to your right and you will see the church (it's very big!). The entrance door is the one facing the carpark but nearest to Bury Old Road so you have to walk a few yards to the side of the church and up a couple of steps. From there, come up the stairs on your left and the dance room is on the first floor.
